Ok, so I've been slamming down pizzas and biscuits like this body is immortal or something.
I've officially begun my first fast in about 5 weeks, gonna go for around 2 days. I've have a lot of amazing experience with fasting, including feeling really light and deeply spiritual, so I'm excited.
I'm realising that this whole health journey is mainly about me learning how to gain strength to maintain healthy behaviours.
I find that it really helps to learn about why fasting is beneficial for health and spirituality so I'll leave some links down below.
Fasting is a challenge at first. Getting past that first hunger pang is difficult. I refuse to be a victim to the needy energy.
I got a kSafe the other day: (https://www.thekitchensafe.com/)
This thing is literally a container which has a lid on it that locks for however long you want. The maximum time is 10 days and the minimum time is 1 minute. My plan is to keep all tech and money in there from 8pm to 9am. The plan that works for me is to read for an hour at 8am and 8pm and meditate / pray for an hour at 9am and 9pm. It's difficult to re-align with it, but when I've been on it, it's amazing.
I'm looking forward to breaking my sugary food habit and getting back to eating only whole foods and periodic fasts of around 2 days.
